Below is a list of the Certified Testers for Backflow Assemblies

If you are a Certified Tester, please be sure to keep your Calibration and Tester Certification updated with the City of Tulare's Water Division.

If you use a tester not on the list, calibration and certification must be submitted before tests can be accepted. If you are a certified tester and wish to be included on this list please submit a copy of your current certification and calibration. For the quickest results please email copies to rrivera@tulare.ca.gov.

Any business or residential property with a backflow assembly must have them tested on an annual basis in order to meet the City of Tulare's Cross Connection Control Program and State regulations and requirements.

All tests forms must be submitted with blue ink to ensure originality. Test forms not submitted in blue will not be accepted.

Any devices that are not tested and submitted by their due date may be subject to disconnection.

2023 Backflow Tester List

Please be advised that only test results from certified testers who meet certain minimum requirements will be accepted by the City of Tulare Water Department. In order to be included on this list, a tester has demonstrated that he or she is currently certified as a backflow prevention assembly tester by the American Backflow Prevention Association (ABPA), or California-Nevada Section American Water Works Association (CA-NV AWWA). This resource list is provided by the City of Tulare as a service to our customers seeking testers who meet our general requirements; it is not an endorsement of any firm, nor is it a guarantee/warranty of their work. It is provided to our customers without any obligation to use a specific tester. The City of Tulare has no financial interest in any listed tester. This list is non-exclusive, so there may be testers available who meet our requirements but are not on the list; however, any test performed by a tester not meeting our requirements will be rejected. The City of Tulare reserves the right to include or remove any tester from this list without notice or cause.
