Tulare’s Municipal Code requires all commercial businesses within the city limits of Tulare to have a trash service account.
City of Tulare Municipal Code Section 7.16.030 Garbage Collection and Street Sweeping Services Compulsory states:
We have two (2) cubic yard, three (3) cubic yard, four (4) cubic yard, and six (6) cubic yard commercial bins available for trash.
Overfilled, overweight, or blocked bins will be assessed additional charges.
State Assembly Bill 341 requires any commercial business that generates four (4) cubic yards or more of disposable trash per week and any multi-family community with five (5) units or more to have a recycling program in place.
We offer blue two (2) cubic yard, three (3) cubic yard, four (4) cubic yard, and six (6) cubic yard containers for recyclable materials. We do require boxes to be flattened. There will be no charge at this time for hauling recyclable material in these sizes of containers.
State Assembly Bill 1826 requires any commercial business that generates two (2) cubic yards or more of disposable trash per week and any multi-family community with five (5) units or more to have an organics program in place.
State Senate Bill 1383 requires that all commercial and multi-family communities have an organics program in place.
We offer 96 gallon containers for organic/food waste materials. We do require that no trash of any kind be placed into these containers. There will be no charge at this time for hauling organic/food waste material for this size of container. For larger needs we offer roll-off containers but haul charges and disposal fees will apply.

Available Services:
- Commercial Recycling - AB 341 requires all businesses that generate four (4) or more cubic yards of waste per week to recycle.
- Apartment & Multi-Family Recycling - AB 341 requires all multi-family communities that have five (5) or more units to recycle
- Commercial Food Waste Program - AB 1826 requires all businesses that generate two (2) or more cubic yards of waste per week and all multi-family communities that have five (5) or more units to compost organic materials
