Tulare Animal Services is committed to providing the highest level of service to ensure the public is safe from potentially dangerous animals and keeping the community free of stray dogs while also maintaining the health and safety of all animals within the City. Pet owners shall be held responsible for the negative actions of their pets on and off their property.

There are two (2) Animal Services Officers who each share the responsibility of assignments between the field and the shelter. All Animal Services Officers are available to answer your questions and assist with your animal related needs.
Dog Licensing
Pursuant to the Tulare Municipal Code, every dog meeting the minimum age requirements to receive a rabies vaccination shall be subject to a dog license fee. A license will not be issued without proof of a valid rabies vaccination. Please contact our office for additional information regarding licensing your dog(s).
