The Project Management Division is intended to help the City coordinate and complete significant projects on time, within budget and according to each project’s clearly defined scope.  Each project is unique, but contains the same three driving factors – Scope, Budget and Schedule and follows the same fundamental process from conception through completion.  Project Management creates a systematic approach to projects to establish consistency in how projects are managed.

Established policies and procedures improve project pre-planning and preparation, project administration and formalizes the project reporting process to governing Boards as well as to the Public.  This all maximizes the use of limited resources and ensures that projects achieve the greatest benefit possible to the general public.

Project Managers are responsible for moving projects from Conceptual and Preliminary Design phases through Environmental and Final Design, into Construction/Implementation and finally through Close Out.  The Project Management Office is responsible for overseeing large and complex projects directly as well as assisting City Departments manage and complete simple and routine projects.
