The seven member Planning Commission is responsible for considering and making decisions regarding land use, planning and zoning in accordance with the scope of city ordinances and state planning laws.  A wide variety of issues are addressed including residential subdivisions, design review, zoning and environmental impact assessments and annexations.  Commission members serve a four year term and are appointed by the City Council. 

The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 491 North "M" Street, Tulare, California.

Planning Commission (Cancelled)

The regular meeting of the Planning Commission scheduled for July 8, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. has been cancelled due to lack of business. The next regularly scheduled meeting is Monday, July 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m.

The five-member Planning Commission is responsible for considering and making decisions regarding land use, planning and zoning in accordance with the scope of city ordinances and state planning laws. A wide variety of issues are addressed including residential subdivisions, design review, zoning and environmental impact assessments and annexations. The Commission meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber located at 491 North M Street, Tulare.

The public is encouraged to attend and participate in public meetings.
